When I was dating Michael, he had nothing but dreams. I grew tired of waiting for those dreams to become reality, especially after I met Richard, who showered me with gifts and took me on expensive outings.

Without hesitation, I broke Michael's heart.

"Love cannot pay my bills," I told him before walking away.

Michael didn't fight me. He wished me well.

Months later, my perfect relationship with Richard collapsed when I discovered his wealth was a lie. The cars, designer clothes, and expensive lifestyle were all borrowed.

Heartbroken and ashamed, I searched for Michael, hoping to make things right.

But the man I found was no longer struggling. He had built a successful business and was happily engaged to a woman who had stood by him when he had nothing.

I begged him for another chance, but he shook his head.

"When I had nothing, you left. She stayed when all I had was a dream. I'm sorry, but my heart belongs to her now."

I watched him walk away, holding the hand of the woman who had become his peace.

That night, I cried—not because Michael was rich now, but because I finally understood what I had lost.

I abandoned a genuine love for a fake lifestyle, and by the time I discovered the truth, someone else was living the future I once dreamed of.

It was the worst mistake of my entire life.
