LEADERSHIP FAILURE IN NIGERIA

Nigeria is a country with diverse culture, has many natural landmarks and wildlife reserves. Protected areas such as Cross River National park and Yankari National park, dense rainforest, Savannah and rare primates habitat.

Although Nigeria has the largest national economy in Sub- Saharan African, it must overcome significant development and governance challenges to fulfill its potential.

With an estimated population of 214 million, of which approximately 96 million people live on less than $1.90 per day.

Nigeria is a home to the world's largest population living in extreme poverty.

Nigeria's economy grew by 3.6% in 2021 from 1.8% contraction in 2020. Imagine!!!!.

Today Nigeria is the headquarters of poor and undeveloped countries.

But I tell you that the problem of this country is her LEADERS.

This country lacks VISIONARY LEADERS.

Nigeria is a country where the leaders care more about their selfish gains and care less about the masses. Without doubt, the selfish act of the inconsiderable politicians has led to the great aversion towards the political sector.

It is a country where DEMOCRACY AND THE RULE OF LAW has lost value and has been abandoned by the so called leaders. And apparently, it's a state of Anarchy.

It is a country where the politicians can do anything just to acquire power and money even at the expense of the masses.

The selfish leaders are the ones that destroyed this country, and the her citizens especially the less privileged are laveraging on intense anguish.

Nigeria was known as the GIANT OF AFRICA. But today, it lost that title.

We all witnessed the RIGGING AND ELECTORAL MALPRACTICE that took place in the 2023 presidential election which was held on the 25th of February. This was done by the so- called Politicians. Who claims to have the interest of the people at heart.

These wicked sets of people have taken Nigeria as their footstool.

They don't want anything good for the citizens and they don't care about the masses either. Leadership failure is what is keeping this country in the mess and challenges it is going through right now.

Kidnapping, unlawful killings, injustice, insecurity, bribery and extortion, etc are being witnessed almost everyday without the leaders addressing it.

The worst part is the fact that the masses' votes don't count anymore. In the good and happy days, elections were conducted to give the masses the chance to choose their leaders and the majority votes won. But nowadays conducting elections is just to fulfill all righteousness because at the end of the day, they will still rig it.

But believe you me that the only solution to this problem is the emergence of VISIONARY AND COMPETENT LEADERS.

Despite the fact that the corrupted and evil politicians are much in the political sector, there are still good ones that when given the chance to lead will bring Nigeria out of this mess that it is currently in now.

Without doubt, I believe that the positive change and development that we all are yearning for can only be possible if the good ones are given the chance to lead.

Tribalism is also affecting the growth and development of this country. If the country is not united how is it going to fight against external aggression?. For in unity we stand but in division we fall and scatter on the floor just like a broken bottle. For this country to be good again we have to shun tribalism.

Let's be supportive of anyone that has the best interest of this country at heart irrespective of their culture, tribe and ethnicity. It is for our own good.

It is not just the leaders' responsibility to make this country a better place. It is also our responsibility because if Nigeria is good today, it's all of us that will benefit from it.
