How to draw attention to your article

How to draw attention to your article.

How do you feel after spending time and energy writing an article and at the end of the day, you didn't get satisfying feedback from it? Nothing frustrates a writer more than having low engagement on his posts/articles. It leaves the writer with a feeling of inferiority. They feel like they aren't doing enough or they aren't doing better. The feeling can be very devastating!

I was once in that situation. I would spend time and energy writing an article of 800 to 3000 thousand word count. But after everything, It will have 2% engagements. The feeling was suicidal!. At some point I felt like quitting. But one day, as I was scrolling through Facebook, I came across a post. The write-up was so interesting that I found myself reading and enjoying the post. I was glued at my phone screen reading through the words and sentences that formed that article. At some point, I paused, scrolled down a little and looked at the heading of that article. That's it!

It was just two things that caught my attention on that post. And immediately I discovered those two things, I opened a blank space on my Google documents and I implemented those two things in my article. After writing it I published it on Facebook and after some minutes I started getting engagements like never before ... .It worked! I found myself leaping for joy. And I was very happy. And since then I have been using it to draw massive engagements on my article. And I am sure that if it can work for me, then it can as well work for you.

What are the two things that draw attention to an article?

Headlines (Attention grabber): The thing that grabbed my attention on that article was the headline. The writer was very wise to have used a headline that grabs a reader's attention. What makes a reader stop scrolling and read an article is the heading. Just like sugar attracts ants, a well written heading attracts readers to an article. It is not magic, it is called STRATEGY. You have to be strategic enough to have attention grabbing headlines that draw attention to your article. If you are scrolling through your Facebook wall and you see a headline that says ' learn how to publish a book and earn money on Amazon Kdp without writing', you will definitely suspend whatever you are doing to read the article. Or you see something like 'Enjoy before the season ends' you will definitely give it a glimpse to know what the enjoyment is all about. And those are typical examples of Attention grabbers.

Hooker: this line comes immediately after your headline. This is what triggers your reader to continue reading your article to the end. If you succeed in grabbing your reader's attention on your article then you should also do well to keep them glued on your article by using interesting and exciting lines to achieve that aim. Line by line, sentence by sentence your article should be interesting and exciting for your readers. Your readers shouldn't lose interest in the middle of the article. Keep the flame of excitement steady by making it interesting and engaging for them. It is quite crucial.

If you can implement these simple techniques in your article then you are sure to change that awful situation to an awesome experience. Good luck!
