It is with no doubt that the 2021 Mortal Kombat was a massive success, with the estimated box office of $83.3 million accompanied with incredible reviews to its name. It is one of those movie remakes that are better than their older version.
It is so good people yearn for a sequel, but what can anyone do about it? We have to wait for another two to three years before a sequel comes out, so I decided to put together a list of movies you should probably watch if you enjoyed the movie.….. enjoy
Black Widow
Well, if you are a fan of the Mortal Kombat movie, then you would probably like Black Widow, an action induced and sci - Fi movie that is set after Captain America: Civil War.
It focuses on the life of a SHIELD agent, Natasha Romanoff, an ex - avenger on the run, who reunites with her family but is confronted with an even bigger threat as she realizes that a former enemy is on the hunt for her life and on the verge of world dominance. Why do I recommend it?
It’s an action thriller that is somewhat similar to the Mortal Kombat plot. It focuses on the importance of family, which were respectively shown towards the ending, as it created that mesmerizing emotional attachment to the characters showing us they had a softer side under their tough skins. I highly recommend the movie to fans of Sci - Fi action thrillers who are in search of a movie as worthy as the Mortal Kombat.
Zack Snyder Justice League

Let’s not forget the Warner Bros. are experts at bringing the WOW in movies. The Zack Snyder Justice League is best described as the remake of the poorly crafted 2017 Justice League.
But things got better as a campaign was set (#restorethesnyderverse) to bring the original idea and insights the director had concerning the movie but was never truly accomplished due to the death of his daughter and quarrel with the Warner Bros.
But the new movie is better and more entertaining as hoped. The movie is set after the death of Superman, which a guilty Batman tries to revive after the unsuccessful battle to stop Steppenwolf from conquering the earth.
But this movie has a few changes to it. It is way darker than any movie I have ever seen.
It was rated PG18 in some parts of the world due to its immense action that would be too much for a 13-year-old kid to handle.
It’s the right choice for those looking for action thrilling movies that portray a rather darker character arch and plot. But I must warn you the movie is 4 hour long and not entirely binchable.
Dune

Dune is a sci-fi movie that has been the talk of the month from reputable websites such as Screen rant, CBR, Hollywood and many others.
It has literally stolen the heart of many, including mine that I had to put it down as a must watch movie when being compared to the Mortal Kombat.
It gave that sensation of thrill most films don’t give speaking in person, it’s as well as stimulating and don’t get me started on the interactive dialogue. It is a must watch for those in search of a Mortal Kombat alternative if I say so myself.
The Suicide Squad

The suicide squad is by far the best Warner Bros. movie I have seen this year. I actually watched the movie four times already and still wish to watch it. It is mind blowing right from the action sequences and plots to the emotional attachment with the characters.
It is a sequel to the movie of the same title ( but add ‘The’). It stars Margot Robbie, the one person that can’t stop giving us that Harley Quinn momentum and stimulation.
It also stars John Cena, Idris Elba and many more of your favorite action actors ( if that’s actually a thing). It is a must watch as it comes as the number two on the list. Come to think of it, it’s way better than Mortal Kombat.
Oh, I almost forgot. The movie focuses on the mission the government sends the most deadly and dangerous supervillains in the world (Bloodsport, Peacemaker, King Shark,
Harley Quinn as well as others) to the not so typical remote island of Corto Maltese on a find and destroy mission with the only one capable of making them behave, Colonel Rick Flag.
Monster Hunter

We are finally down to the movie that got people freaking out! This is an action/monster that follows captain Artemis and her group of soldiers as they
are pulled into a dimensional world where dangerous monsters and humans exist but they must find a way to escape the world as they soon get hunted down one after the other by the monsters that inhabit the world.
This gave me the chills for a couple of minutes during the time I was watching this movie.
It’s a wonderfully crafted movie with a catchy story, good creative elements (the director was really in touch with his emotional and creative side) and certainly nice VFX to give that realistic and convincing idea.
Although the movie did not really do well in the box office, it’s certainly a great substitute for the 2021 Mortal Kombat.
To say the fact, Mortal Kombat has been one of the best movies last year and still not the best. With the recent release of ‘Marvel's Phase 4’ which includes Shang Chi: Legends of the ten rings, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Spiderman: No Way Home, the year 2022 is probably gonna be a movie museum or otherwise a big global galla.
