I'm a male of 27 yrs, I've been single for an almost 9 months now. My previous relationship ended during last year Xmas when my ex cheated on me with some white man who came for the holidays. This year last month I met this nice girl on Instagram and the vibe was good and all.
I asked her if she was single and she said her ex was cheating on her and wasn't supporting and a whole lot of things. We became good friends and one day as we were chatting so she mistakenly said I was her crush, she deleted the message but using GB Whatsapp so I still saw it. In the end I proposed and she said she'll think about it.
Within that time I supported her with some things she needed like money for her hair, toiletries and some personal stuff since she wasn't working at the moment. A week later I asked her about my proposal and she said she was still thinking about it. The following week I asked her again and she said I'm the man of her dreams and I've been very good to her, she really likes me and wants to be with but the problem is she doesn't believe that I'm single cos my looks I have a lot of girls in my DM or maybe I might be flirting around.
I've tried all my possible best to prove to her that I'm single but still she doesn't believe me, she says my friends can't vouch for me cos they'll take my side, and also it's not nice to ask my mum too about it. She claims she doesn't want to make the same mistake with her ex and all that since he too was dating someone before they met.
The following week I told her I'll be withdrawing my proposal and would like us to be just friends. She said she doesn't like it and I should reconsider that decision and soon she'll make a decision about my proposal.
So pls I need your help, I'm truly single and not seeing anyone. I don't chat any girl apart from her too.
