My youngest sister

My Dearest Little Sister

January 1, 1995 – June 23, 2026

At midnight on June 23, 2026, we lost you forever—my dearest little sister.

A sudden car accident took away my mother-in-law, and you, leaving behind our baby niece who wasn't even a month old. Fate is so cruel; how can we accept it calmly? How could impermanence strike us in such a way?

From childhood to adulthood, you were always so gentle. You spoke softly to Mom and Dad, and were always respectful and considerate to your siblings. You were always patient and tender with your sister's child. The innate kindness and gentleness you possessed is something your sister could never hope to match.

In early 2020, you faced a devastating life-altering event. Death almost took you away, but you bravely pulled through, and through that experience, you met your loving and cherished brother-in-law, and the warm family who treated you like family. We all thought that after all this hardship, a peaceful and happy life awaited you.

Unexpectedly, on June 23, 2026, cruel misfortune struck again. It snatched you away from us without warning, leaving no room for discussion, no pity for your newborn baby, and no mercy for your beloved son. It left your brother-in-law crying out in despair, your elderly parents heartbroken, and all those who loved you deeply helplessly watching you leave.

Even now, I still can't believe you're really gone. (I've peeked at you so many times; you're still so beautiful.)

You had just become a mother again, just begun planning your own happy life, with so many dreams unfulfilled, so many family members waiting to share the future with you. But all of this stopped at midnight on June 23, 2026.

Little sister, thank you for coming into our lives and bringing us so much warmth and love. In the days to come, we will take good care of your family, and we will forever cherish your gentleness and kindness in our hearts.

May you be free from suffering and attain happiness, no longer experiencing fear, and be reborn in a good realm, enjoying a precious human life.

We will always love you and always miss you.
