Former Miss Hong Kong runner-up Wu Wenxin, 51, has been battling breast cancer since publicly announcing her stage 3 diagnosis in August 2017. She not only published her autobiography, "Reborn Through Love," but also fulfilled her dream of becoming a singer last year, performing the song "Rebirth" at the "Top Music Awards," touching many with her resilience. However, the road to recovery has been fraught with difficulties. Wu recently revealed to the media that her health has deteriorated, with cancer cells spreading to a vital organ.
Wu Wenxin's Cancer Cells Spread to the Liver
According to the latest CT scan report, Wu Wenxin's cancer cells have unfortunately spread to her liver, where a tumor of approximately 3cm has appeared. Worse still, the lump in her breast has grown to 12cm, becoming visible to the naked eye, and noticeable lumps have also appeared in her lymph nodes.
Wu Wenxin Admits to Weaker Body
Wu Wenxin admitted that her body has become noticeably weaker recently. She revealed that she was rushed to the hospital on New Year's Eve due to low hemoglobin levels caused by targeted therapy, requiring two blood transfusions, and thus spent the night in the hospital. Doctors have now slightly reduced her targeted therapy dosage in hopes of minimizing side effects.
Wu Wenxin's helplessness: She can only do her best. Faced with the bad news of the cancer's spread, Wu Wenxin felt helpless, saying she wouldn't give up, but could only "continue to do her best." Despite the physical and mental trauma, she strives to maintain a positive attitude. She admitted that hormones and targeted therapy have a significant impact on her emotions, but she allows herself to vent first, then encourages herself through faith and listening to her song "Rebirth," trying to regain control from negative emotions. She stated that her biggest wish right now is for her body to recover quickly so she can return to the gym to exercise and dance.
