51-year-old former Miss Hong Kong, Wu Wenxin, passed away peacefully in her sleep! Her breast cancer had recurred and spread to her brain; she had battled cancer for four years and had even been scammed out of her savings – a truly tragic story.

Rest in peace! Wu Wenxin, a well-known Hong Kong actress and former Miss Hong Kong third runner-up, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the young age of 51. Her family and friends have announced her death on social media.

Those who followed Wu Wenxin know that she had been fighting cancer since her breast cancer recurred in 2024. For the sake of her two daughters, she maintained a positive attitude and never gave up, earning her the title of "cancer fighter."

Unfortunately, Wu Wenxin's cancer progressed rapidly, spreading to her lymph nodes, coccyx, and brain, ultimately leading to her death.

This April was Wu Wenxin's last public appearance. She attended a Grasshopper concert and appeared to be in relatively good condition.

During her battle with cancer, she received much encouragement from Cai Yijie. Therefore, she attended her friend's concert despite her illness.

After her cancer recurred in 2024, Wu Wenxin made numerous efforts. In fact, she had been diagnosed with breast cancer as early as 2022.

However, she did not disclose her condition at the time. After surgery, doctors recommended chemotherapy, but she refused for the sake of her career. She feared it would cause hair loss and other side effects, and she worried it would hinder her work.

She underwent cancer surgery without informing her parents or friends. Only after the surgery and discharge did she tell her parents and a few close friends.

Unfortunately, less than two years later, Wu Wenxin's cancer recurred, which was devastating for her.

Wu Wenxin broke down in tears on camera, deeply depressed. But for the sake of her two daughters, she quickly changed her mindset and began actively fighting the disease.

She shaved her head and underwent chemotherapy. However, the pain and exhaustion from chemotherapy led her to eventually stop. Then, through a friend's introduction, she traveled to Thailand for cell immunotherapy.

Initially, the treatment was very effective, and her physical indicators improved significantly. However, a few months after completing the treatment, her health deteriorated.

With no other options, Wu Wenxin had to try other methods. Starting at the beginning of this year, her condition worsened, as she revealed that the cancer cells had spread to her brain.

Ultimately, Wu Wenxin chose to receive treatment in mainland China. Because treatment costs in mainland China are significantly lower than in Hong Kong, she stated that she would persevere!

Even her friends rallied behind her on social media, offering encouragement and support.

It's worth mentioning that Wu Wenxin also experienced two painful events in the past two years. First, her father died suddenly.

This event was a huge blow to Wu Wenxin. She had a very close relationship with her father, and his sudden death caused her a complete emotional breakdown.

Last summer, Wu Wenxin suddenly announced her divorce from her husband of many years. She even moved out of her luxury home and sold her furniture, appliances, and designer bags online, attracting considerable attention and discussion.

Later, Wu Wenxin explained that her relationship with her husband had been strained for several years, and the divorce was a mutually agreed-upon decision. It wasn't because of a recurrence of her cancer that their relationship deteriorated.

In my opinion, Wu Wenxin truly is a "cancer fighter." It is understood that her two beloved daughters will continue to be cared for by her ex-husband. Finally, may Wu Wenxin rest in peace, and may there be no more pain in heaven.
