A man from India Maharashtra and his family were in Oman for a day trip. Unfortunately, Shruti, 9 years old daughter was consumed by the strong wave and efforts are still made by the rescue team to recover her, said the local police.
Mahame Shashikant, 42 years old had been working as a sales manager in a Dubai based firm. His wife and two children, Shruti 9 years old and Shreyas 6 years old lived altogether in Dubai city.
Shruti and Shreyas were playing by the waterside when a strong wave came and swept them away. The father without any hesitation, dived into the water to save them, but drowned in the process.
However tremendous efforts were made by the rescue team which later led to the discovery of Mahame and Shruti's body.
