On Saturday in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, former president Olusegun Obasanjo operated a commercial tricycle known as Keke NAPEP to pick up intra-city passengers.
The 85-year-old National Open University alumnus claimed that his motivation for acting was to demonstrate to the gathered teenagers that there were several options to earn a living legally in the nation.
The former president continued, saying that his conduct was meant to underline what he had already said: that Nigerian youths could still be independent thanks to the "Keke NAPEP" enterprise, which his administration had established in November 2002.
