Actress Busi Lurayi from South Africa passed dead from an undisclosed illness.

According to her agency Eye Media Artists, the celebrated actress and star of the Netflix comedy How To Ruin Christmas: The Wedding was discovered dead at her home on Sunday, July 10.
"We are very sorry to inform you that our dear Busisiwe Lurayi has passed away. On Sunday [July 10, 2022], Busisiwe unexpectedly died and was declared dead at her home by medical professionals. As we wait for the autopsy report's findings, we don't yet know what caused her death, according to the statement from the agency.
A touching eulogy was also posted by Netflix SA to mourn Lurayi's demise.
"An incredible light has gone out in the South African entertainment sector," the streamer tweeted. We are extremely saddened by the loss of Busi Lurayi, an accomplished theater and screen performer. We will cherish the smiles, the beauty, and the happy times she gave us. #RIPBusiLurayi.”
Netflix had previously revealed that season three of the popular comedy series How to Ruin Christmas: The Baby Shower was in post-production and would premiere at the end of the year. This was before the tragic passing of Lurayi.
