Read Advice Given To Benin Republic By Gani Adams Over The Release Of Sunday Igbho

Over a year, the people from the South Western pary of Nigeria are fighting for the freedom of Yoruba Nation and this freedom movement is been championed by Chief Sunday Igboho

Igboho declared during one of his rallies that election will not be conducted in the whole of Yoruba Land in 2023 and maintained that his goal is to achieve the freedom of Yoruba Nation.

Meanwhile, the Department of State Service known as DSS in Nigeria declared him wanted.

On the 19th day of July 2021, the secury officials arested him in Cotonou airport of Benin Republic but the federal government of Nigeria demanded that they should be brought back to the country but the Bebinise rejected such plea.

In another development, thee Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba land, Gani Adams have told the government of Benin Republic to allow the Yoruba Nation agitator, Chief Sunday Igboho to seek medical intervention.

This was contained in a press statement issued by Gani Adams.

This statement came hours after Chief Sunday Igboho was released from the prison custody of Benin Republic.

While reacting to this development, he told the government of Benin Republic to allow Chief Sunday Igboho to seek for medical intervention.

Continuing with his speech, he said

that the Benin Republic should allow Chief Sunday Ihboho to seek proper medical intervention as they released him.

“Based on the failing health of Chief Sunday Igboho and other conditions surrounding his personality, Igboho should be allowed to visit his personal physician in Germany".

It is the personal physician that has his health history and records.

It is his personal physician that knows him deep down. It is his personal physician that can proffer lasting solutions to personal health issues. Therefore, the idea of releasing the activist and further restricting him unjustly to seek medication within the Benin Republic is not enough.

In a similar development, he expressed gratitude over the release of Sunday Igboho and maintained that he is solidly behind him because he's fighting for the freedom of Yoruba people.

"It is a welcome development that my brother, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, Igboho was released, however, the condition attached to his temporary freedom is not enough".

At the same time, it is a victory we all cherished, but much still need to be done to drive home our point that Igboho is not a criminal.

He is an activist that is fighting for the liberation of the Yoruba race but it must be said also that he is not alone. Those of us that believed in the struggle are solidly behind him and very soon, I am sure justice will prevail and Igboho will regain his freedom from the Beninese government.
