Welcome to my article series and today I will be writing some few lines about religion and morality.
RELIGION
Is a cultural system of behavior and practices, world views, sacred text, holy places, ethics and social organisation that relate humanity to what an anthropologist called an order of existence.
MORALITY
Is the distinction between right and wrong. It is the determination of what should be done and what should not be done.
Morals deals with behaviors as well as motives.
*Biblically, morals are derived from God's character and is revealed to us through the scriptures.
Morals differs among cultures and there are morals that are relative. But for a Christian morality is the application of God's law.
The recabites in the Bible have no religion but are moral by keeping their father's instruction.
* Morality does not dependupon religion.
* One can be religious and not be moral and at the same time one can be moral and not be religious.
According to the Bible in the book of James 1:26 if your Christianity is not the type James talked about then think twice.
