FIELD DATA COLLECTION REPORT

(BY: Ameyaw C. Pascal & Derick Ofosu)

Date: 8th June, 2023.

On Friday, 26th of May this year, we (Pascal & Derick) set off from Accra to Bolgatanga in the the Upper East region around 8pm from Circle, by SKY BOSS bus. We got to Bolgatanga on Saturday around 2pm and proceeded to Bawku, then Garu, where we spent the night.

At Garu, we completed Garu and Tempane Districts forms in an exercise book since the twin District was not separated yet in the EC form.

We continued the journey to Pusiga and Zebila on Sunday. We applied the "Station" data collection technique at Bolgatanga and visited few Districts we didn't get Reps from the stations. We completed all 15 Districts in Upper East region and left for Walewale in the North-East region on the very Sunday.

We arrived at Walewale around 10pm and we spent the night there until Monday.

The station technique was not effective at Walewale, that made us chatter to Gambaga and Nalerigu, however, we were lucky to have got Mamprugu Moaduri rep from Walewale station.

Hon. Peter Jacob made one person meet us at Nalerigu to register and and we used the station approach to get for Bunkpurugu, Yunyoo, Nankpanduri and Chereponi.

We could complete all 6districts in the North-East region and left the very night for Tamale.

On Tuesday, in Tamale, Hon. Zuberu helped us to get 2 people out of the 16 Districts in the Northern region.

Martin from Wa met us at the hotel in Tamale with all 11 Districts captured from Upper West region.

We jumped to the station to apply the station method but it was not too responsive so we had to visit some of the Districts as we gathered few from the station.

Because we could not cover all districts, we stayed in Tamale for the next day (Wednesday) to complete them all. In the course, we visited our bereaved sister.

We later visited Yendi and Kpandai (which we didn't get at the stations). We got back to Tamale around 10pm and we set off to Accra when we had completed all four regions consisting of 48 Districts.

EXPECTATION

We desired to use the few days to visit and complete all *54 Districts* in all *5 regions* in the Northern part of Ghana. And to also market the vision or Begin Ghana Party to a large number of individuals we encounter.

ACHIEVEMENT

We could, in the few days, capture only 48 Districts out of the 54. Even those that we didn't get their ID cards to register, we could create awareness of Begin Ghana Party and her vision to them.

CHALLENGES

1. Long distances between the Districts made it difficult to visit the Districts.

2. Most of the people we met at the stations did not have their ID cards with them.

3. Language Barrier

RECOMMENDATIONS

1. A committed regional representative to help in the collation exercise.

2. As means of private transport (motorbike specifically) would be an advantage to access the various Districts in a short while.
