Bola Ahmed Tinubu, often referred to as Bola Tinubu or Jagaban, is a Nigerian politician and the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He was born on March 29, 1952, in Lagos State, Nigeria.

Tinubu attended St. John's Primary School, Aroloya, Lagos, and Children's Home School in Ibadan. He then proceeded to the United States of America, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Chicago State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago.

Tinubu began his political career in 1992 when he was elected to the Nigerian Senate under the Social Democratic Party. He later became a founding member of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), which governed Lagos State from 1999 to 2007. During his tenure as governor of Lagos State, Tinubu was credited with initiating several developmental projects, including the introduction of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, which improved transportation in the state.

In 2013, Tinubu was elected as the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which was formed as a merger of several opposition parties. The APC went on to win the 2015 general elections in Nigeria, and Tinubu was instrumental in the election of Muhammadu Buhari as the President of Nigeria.

Tinubu has been described as one of the most influential politicians in Nigeria, and his political career has been marked by controversies and allegations of corruption. However, he remains a popular figure in Lagos and has been credited with grooming several prominent politicians in Nigeria.

In addition to his political career, Tinubu is also a successful businessman and is the founder of several companies, including Alpha Beta Consulting, which manages the finances of several state governments in Nigeria.

Tinubu has received several awards and honors for his contributions to Nigerian politics and business, including the title of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) and the African Leadership Award.
