In 2026, the smartest students are not the ones who read the longest — they are the ones who use AI to read smarter. Artificial Intelligence has become the best study partner for students in Nigeria and around the world.
First, AI helps students understand difficult topics quickly. If you don't understand economics, chemistry, or mathematics, you can ask Meta AI or ChatGPT to explain it like you are 10 years old, or in Pidgin English. It will give you simple examples until you understand.
Second, AI saves time on assignments and research. Instead of spending 5 hours in the library, students now use AI to summarize long textbooks, find key points, and create study notes. You can upload your lecture note and tell AI, "Summarize this into 10 key points for exam," and it will do it in seconds.
Third, AI helps with exam preparation. Students use AI to generate past questions, create quizzes, and test themselves. For example, you can say, "Create 20 objective questions from this chapter," and AI will do it. This makes revision faster and more fun.
AI is also helping students make money while studying. Some students use AI to write CVs, design posters for small businesses, create TikTok scripts, and tutor junior students online. With just a phone, they earn pocket money without missing classes.
Some people think using AI is cheating. It is not cheating if you use it to learn, not to copy. Use AI to understand, then write the answer in your own words. Teachers themselves now use AI to set better questions and mark faster.
In conclusion, AI is not making students lazy — it is making them smarter. If you are a student in Port Harcourt or anywhere in Nigeria, start using AI today. Study less, understand more, and have more time for your business and rest.
