Governor Fubara addressed concerns and speculations surrounding the resignation, emphasizing that the decision was made with a commitment to peace. According to him, " Whatever it will take, as seen in our decision, a lot of people were worried: why would the Speaker resign? It is to tell you what we can do for peace to reign.”
