This mobile application also has other uses that we do not know. What is the WhatsApp trick to find the IP address or the location of our contacts?
To generate a contact's IP address and locate them later, open WhatsApp web first, as this trick does not work on the mobile app. Then start a chat with the person you want to locate. Be sure to keep only the browser you are using open. If you keep other apps running in the background, they might interfere with the process. Next, on your keyboard, press the Ctrl + Alt + Del keys simultaneously. This will launch the task manager. Then press the "Windows" key and the letter "R" simultaneously to launch the "Run" dialog box. In the text field that appears, type "cmd" and press the "Enter" key to launch the command prompt. Then type “netstat-an” and click the “Enter” key. The IP address of the person you are chatting with will then appear. Write it down before closing the command prompt window. By getting the IP address, you can easily determine the approximate location of your contact. To do this, go to http://www.ip-adress.com/ip_tracer/, and paste the IP address into the text field. Just like chats, this feature is also end-to-end encrypted. This means that only people you've shared your location with can see it. Note that for it to be possible to send your location, you must allow WhatsApp to access your location. To do this, go to your phone's "Settings", then click on "Applications and notifications". Then choose "Advanced", then "Application permissions". Then click on “Location” and activate “WhatsApp”. A second method is to go to “Settings”, then click on “Apps and notifications”.
