Close & Apart

As the day fades, I feel you close,

But there's a gap between us, wide and deep,

I can't keep up with your vibe, I suppose,

Lost, longing for a bond we used to keep.

How do some wake up to chase faraway dreams,

While we stay here, hoping for our tie?

You said we're like siblings, more than it seems,

But I'm stuck, wondering why our love went dry.

What changed the flowers, once so bright?

Where did our late-night talks disappear?

When did our closeness vanish from sight?

And why does "honey" now sound insincere?

Please, help me understand, I plea,

I don't want to feel left behind,

Bring back the passion we used to see,

Let's revive the love we once defined.
