This involves assessing a man’s quality including his looks, intelligence, resources, kindness, or reliability by comparing how other women perceive him.
If other women, especially attractive or high-quality ladies have already “vetted” him by showing interest, dating him, being in a relationship with him or even marrying him, it serves as a shortcut signal that he possesses desirable traits. That’s why I laugh when some religious men claim they got married to run away from fornication - lol. In marriage, your problems will be multiplied by 100. You either learn self control now as a single guy or never.
Studies show women rate men as more attractive when pictured with women especially smiling or affectionate than alone or with other men.
Studies also show that men who are labeled as married or in a relationship are often rated higher than single men. This is why married men have more loyal girlfriends than single men. You think that young girl only wants the married man for his money, no - most times, she loves him sincerely.
And if a man dates high quality women , then he naturally attracts high quality women too.
This is not unique to humans; it has been observed in animals like guppies, birds, and fish, where females prefer males already chosen by others to propagate better genes efficiently.

In dating, a man seems higher quality if other women desire him. That man appears pre-vetted and thus a low-risk choice.
In business:
A product/service seems higher quality if other customers have used it and loved it. Same principle: pre-vetted and low-risk purchase.
A startup seems more investable if other investors especially reputable ones back it. Same principle: pre-vetted opportunity. Recently, Gemsbok applied for a Google Fund. The major Google requirement for the fund was that we must have been funded by another company - gladly we have been funded in the past. It’s the same principle - pre-vetted and low risk choice.
