96% of Support Gone? – Captain Dominic Drops Unexpected Regional Claim

“Raila has lost over 96% support in South Nyanza, Ukambani, and Western,” said Captain Dominic Omondi through a statement on his official X account, sparking wide discussion online.

Captain Omondi, a Nairobi-based political strategist and youth affairs advocate, has gained attention for his consistent commentary on Kenya’s political developments.

In his latest remarks, he claimed that support for former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is rapidly fading in regions that were once considered his political strongholds—particularly Kisii, Nyamira, Ukambani, and parts of Western Kenya.

He shared a striking example of this decline, referencing a man who was seen peeling off a Raila campaign sticker from his car, stating, “I’ll never support him again.”

While individual actions do not represent entire communities, Captain Omondi believes this is a growing trend on the ground, especially among the youth and middle-class voters.

Omondi is known for engaging with young people on governance, civic awareness, and elections. His analysis often reflects on-the-ground realities even though his observations are yet to be backed by official polling data.

With the 2027 general elections slowly approaching, Omondi’s remarks point to an important shift in public mood that political players can no longer ignore. Whether Raila’s team will respond or regroup remains to be seen.
