A child in my definition is a male or female

A CHILD

   A child in my definition is a male or female being,born to a couple whether married or not,considered as a gift from God,for the continuation of the human race.

With this in mind,it now brings me to the subject of this article,which is why is it still prevalent especially in Africa that when a woman has no male child,she is not said to have satisfied or met the requirements of having,and maintaining a family.

In some families you see the husband openly showing regret over being blessed by female children,and thinking seriously of what becomes of his lineage when he joins his ancestors.

I ask,does the dead participate or being rewarded for what happens in his family after his demise??

Is there a special reward given to a dead man in the afterlife for having a successor??

What is the benefit of the continuation of family name to a dead man,who has transitted into a different realm.

If these question are answered in all honesty,you will begin to see reasons why you shouldn't discriminate over the s,ex of children you have.

A girl child is special,so is a boy child,they are all free gift from God,for the continuation of human race.So as parents,we are saddled with the responsibility of nuturing,caring,and educating our children, irrespective of gender.

As a society,we are expected to change our mind set towards the expectations we impose on individual families on the need to have a male child, understanding that whether a male or a female child,it is God who gives.
