Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the chairman of Dangote group and company had ventured into car assembling.(peugeot automobiles Nigeria Ltd.)The company begins production of cars in Nigeria begining with the land trek, 3008, 5008 and the new 508.
The plant can assemble 120 cars per day.
They began with the rollout of peugeot 301, with peugeot 3008, 5008 and 508 to follow in tow.
