Hello, lovely minds, and thank you for your continued interest in my post. In our daily communication, we use some "filler words, crutch words, or hesitation forms." "ok/okay, as in, yes, um, uh, er, ah, like, cool, right, just, I mean, you know now, e.t.c." are common filler words in English. Filler words are used as an alternative to not speaking, letting the listener know that you have more to say, even if you need a second before continuing or indicating that communication isn't going well.
Who is this aimed at? This is something that 98% of today's youth are guilty of. We tend to lose good communication because of the use of fillers. Don't get me wrong, they are useful.
We continue the conversation. Why are you communicating now if you're not interested?
Instead, we can try to make conscious efforts to communicate our thoughts.
Let's try to give listen ears and put that phone away for the time being. It will not kill or destroy anything. Remember.
“Listen with curiosity. Speak truthfully. Act with integrity". The most serious issue with communication is that we do not listen to understand. We are waiting for a response. How do you respond?
