This is a list of software apps that are handy and effective in graphics designing. Most of these apps are free and also have subscription options for advanced features. There are some that need internet connection while some do but. They are all efficient in creating vector graphics, 3d designs, illustrations and artwork. In this article we will be giving highlights on some of them:
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Inc. has very great apps for designing and Photoshop is one of them. It is used to create graphics designs, 3D designs and artwork. It is also used for editing images and videos. It is free to use but also has features that are only accessed after subscribing for the premium version. It is available on mobile phones and PC, so it is very convenient to use
Canva
One of the best Graphic design platforms which is free to all users. It has amazing and attractive features, ready made templates, easy to use and navigate through. Users can get inspiration from templates from other users, edit and redesign or create amazing design from scratch. More features can be unlocked on the Canva Pro version which is about 30,000 naira annually. The app also needs good network connection for work progress to be saved. The quality of the designs are retained even when saved on device.
Adobe Illustrator
This is another vector graphics editor and design program by Adobe Inc. it has various features and tools and can be used to make different artworks and drawing with tools like paintbrush, pencils, color palette and eraser. It is a great app to draw digitally especially for artists and fashion designers.
Inkscape
A vector graphics editor used to create vector images.it is used for artistic and technical illustration such as cartoon, clip arts, logos etc. It has an android app, AndroInk which is an adaptation to Inkscape for Android users.
Pixellab
This is an amazing app which can be used to edit photos, make stylish texts, eCards,thumbnails, logos, fliers and any type of graphic design. The perks of this app is that designs created are original as user creates them from scratch, no ready made templates, few readymade backgrounds on the app. So it encourages the use of creativity and instincts. It is totally free and the app doesn't need to be updated frequently like other apps on play store. It is only available on Android, no PC or iphone version.
Infinite Design
This app is a good app for drawing and creating animation characters, easy to use and free for users. Some other apps for creating logo, designs and artwork are Gravit Designer, Adobe Spark (similar to Canva), Sketch Book
