Communication is very important in every aspect of human existence. Yhe world is held together by effective networking and communication, so does your relationship need good communication skills.
Stop avoiding deep talks, there are matters we need to discuss with our partners but we are scared that things will go wrong, but that's not true,
it's better you face it, the more you avoid it, the more you are creating a distance between you and your partner.
Stop trying to understand your partner based on assumptions. If you are confused and not sure of their feelings. Approach them and ask to me sure.
The more you act based on what you assume, you might be doing things the wrong way and give them the wrong impression.
Find time to talk everyday or create a schedule where you are free to talk about everything, random and important stuff. You can never be busy for someone you love, so find time to be with that person.
Talk to a trusted friend when you are in doubt. Especially if your partner has a best friend, it could be their mother or sibling. If you feel your partner isn't until the right mind to speak, talk to someone you are sure they will confide in.
Control your emotions, go from light issues to deep ones. Don't just go all in on your partner because you are angry or sad. If you feel they are wrong, confront them in a way they can't defend themselves. For example instead of saying "You told me you don't date people for short period, so what's happening?" Say, "I am aware you don't do short term relationships and I wouldn't mind if you tell me why you changed your mind?"
Over all, don't judge them easily. Try to understand their actions and talk to them about it.
Don't force them to do tjings. There are times when you need to let things be and give them space for some time. Gradually, you will know when to take important steps.
