Yakubu Issah known in the Showbiz industry as Ataaka (De Rapper) has taken to social media to express his disatisfaction in relation to the situation in Kobilmahigu. The rapper has indicated that he finds it very difficult to rehearse which is affecting his musical career as he would want to keep his crown of being the 1King of Rap in the Northern Region.
The Rapper also took the opportunity to appeal to the relevant authority to consider the suffering of the old, children and other weak persons who are deeply affected by this action by the Volta River Authority (VRA) and the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCO). Ataaka added that the VRA should do the needful before he loses his patience.
Read below the full statement from one of the finest Rappers here in Ghana (Ataaka);
"Seriously, this our light issue in Kobilimahagu bore me paaaa. Please Volta River Authority do something about it before the 1king loses his patience. For the passed weeks we have been off and you refused to attend to us. Remember am the rap king
and i need to rehearse all the time to maintain my kingship.Due to this light
out, rehearsals seems to be difficult for me and our children including our old men and women are also suffering so please do something about it thank you"
Kobilmahigu a surbub of Tamale in the Northern Region of Ghana has been cut off from the National Grid for several weeks now as field workers of Both NEDCO and VRA went on a sit down strike because of alledged assault on them by some residents of Kobilmahigu. Workers are claiming they were been attacked by these residents because they discovered a house in the area was connected to the National Grid through illegal meanse which they termed as 'Power theft' by the acused persons, and per their rules anyone found guilty of power theft will be disconnect and possibly fined for such act. But as they disconnected the light some residents insisted they connect it back which they declined and that led to commotion at the venue.
As it stands now the officials are demanding that the community would have to release the alledged suspects for arest else they would remain in their current state (No Lights).
