• Living together and respecting differences is one of the major challenges many countries face today. Cultures and identities can be socially divisive when each seeks to reassert itself on the basis of exclusivity. It is therefore, crucial to understand that their is a need to BUILD BRIDGES rather than fences; and thereby providing constant inter-group relations essential to human development. An equitable solutions can only be found in a common effort which considers a minority cultural group not as a challenge to a majority but rather as an enrichment of the country where both minorities and majorities are living
• Public opinion serves our democratic system, it helps to prevent hasty or poorly understood decisions. Public support is needed for decision to be effective, so leaders check to see how acceptable a particular decision will be. It helps to glue society together. Widespread agreement on basic political beliefs holds our society together, even in times of intense disagreement between political parties.
• The term " people "does not mean a shapeless multitude, an inert mass to be manipulated and exploited, but a group of persons, each of whom - " at his proper place and in his own way" is able to form its own opinion on public matters and has the freedom to express its own political sentiments and to bring them to bear positively on the common good.
