The traditional spice, Ginger, has a lot of health benefits, one of which includes giving relief from nausea and vomiting.

Growing up, I watched family and friends resort to chewing ginger each time they felt nauseous. They always said the hotness from the ginger made them feel some sort of relief.

Research also shows that some pregnant women used ginger in their first trimester to help reduce nausea and vomiting.

Scientists suspect that certain compounds and chemicals in ginger help to ease nausea, vomiting, motion sickness and early morning sickness in pregnant women.

It can either be chewed in root form, blended into juice form, taken as a tea or in capsule form. This has come in handy as first aid in many homes across the globe.

Nature has blessed mankind with lots of vegetables and spices to aid healthy living, some of which we still might not be aware of and may neglect. Ginger is one of nature's goodies, so, we must continue to study and research until we can tap and enjoy all its benefits, one of which includes that it is a good relief from vomiting and nausea.
