Air Pollution
Air pollution is a major environmental problem. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that air pollution causes 7 million deaths per year worldwide. In addition to causing respiratory illnesses, air pollution can cause cancer, heart disease, and neurological disorders.
Water Pollution
Water pollution is caused by many different factors. Some of these include industrial waste, agricultural runoff, and sewage leaks. Industrial waste includes heavy metals like lead and mercury, pesticides, and fertilizers. Agricultural runoff includes chemicals used to grow crops. Sewage leaks are often caused by aging infrastructure or poor maintenance.
Noise Pollution
Noise pollution is a common issue in urban areas. Noise pollution occurs when noise levels exceed acceptable limits. Noise pollution can be caused by construction projects, traffic, and loud music.
