The results were released and thank God, my hardwork was rewarded. You know the excitement that any other child gets after being done with primary school. I couldn't wait to join school of my choice, my parents offered to provide my necessities and therefore nothing could hinder me from doing my best.
Here comes the day, that is the unforgettable moment, i had mixed reactions. I was happy and unhappy as well, happy that am joining the school of my choice and unhappy that i was going to miss my friends and everyone back at home, i had no choice as that is a part of life to every student.
Everything was good, life was cool until we started facing the challenges. Morning duties was a must, bathing with cold water and preparing to attend the morning preps.
The prefect had the authority to punish you, the most hectic part was when you could make you bed and tuck it so well, only to be called back by the dormitory prefect to go and re-do your bed, and you could hear her shout "I want to see that bed straight without a single bump on it..." Now as you run back to the dormitory to re-do your bed, you meet at the corner with the teacher on duty, this the time you feel like the walls could open so that you in there.
There you come back, and you again bump into the teacher on teacher on duty, she gives you good pinches and tells you to run, it's here that you ask yourself are we in military training or a school? Whenever you see any teacher, you had to keep yourself busy, just running for no reason to avoid some problems.
In class, i really enjoyed my English lessons, we had the coolest teacher and it wouldn't take a fraction of a second without asking "Are you ok?", She just wanted to be sure that she's teaching happy students wow! She could make jokes and we laugh at anything. She made our life so enjoyable in school. Whether things were difficult or soft and home- sick, high school remains to be the best life!
