The Gombe State Police Command has arrested two suspects in separate cases — a woman for alleged drug peddling and a man for tricycle theft.
Police spokesperson DSP Buhari Abdullahi said 53-year-old Rakiya Ahmed was picked up at Barunde Quarters with eight blocks of dried leaves suspected to be cannabis. She is now in custody, and investigations are ongoing.
In another operation, detectives arrested 36-year-old Auwal Suleiman at Nassarawo Quarters with a stolen tricycle. The owner has since identified the vehicle.
Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Yahaya, praised officers for the arrests and assured that the command will not relent in tackling crime across the state.
