Octopizzo was born in 1987 in Kibera, one of the largest slums in Africa.
In 2002, he lost his dad and his mom in 2003.
He was orphaned at the age of 15. Being the first born, he had to take care of his siblings and himself.
Indeed, what does not kill you makes you stronger. The challenges that the rapper underwent hardened him up to cope with the conditions prevailing in the slums.
Here are the reasons why he is so famous :
1. Resilience.
The rapper has been persistent and consistent in the persuit of his career. Irrespective of all the challenges he has been through, the rapper has kept on pushing himself beyond his limits and comfort zone. He has been in the rap game for more than a decade.
For the time that has been in the music industry, the rapper has managed to record hundreds of songs.

2. Confidence/ Self-esteem.
The rapper exudes unmatched confidence. He is always proud of his place of birth, Kibera. With all the negative reputation that Kibera had before his fame he still finds it cool to associate himself with it. He never turns his back on where he comes from. This has earned him respect in Kenya and abroad.
3. Authenticity.
He is authentic. He does not fake his lifestyle in order to look like a superstar or something else that he is not . With all the waealth he has accumulated over time, he lives life like a typical kid from the ghetto.
