We are seeing a lot of suicides these days but the truth is it's not new. It might be new to a family maybe even a generation but it's been happening since time memorial.
People kill themselves for a lot of reasons; it might be because they are depressed, because they can't face the world after something happens or after someone does something to them. But for those of us remaining, even if they leave a letter explaining why they decided to take such a final step we are still left with questions.
Some might blame someone/ something for their loved one's decision but I have a theory.
I believe that just as much as people can be born with a physical dare I say flaw one can also be born with an emotional one.
A physical one being one that we can see and call a disability or a flaw of the senses which we then call blind or deaf.
An emotional one being when someone doesn't quite understand what they are doing in this earth and why they were born to start with. They don't fit in and just want to exit this earth. This state of mind is often categorized as depression.
Most of us are born with an inbuilt denial that some don't have. It's a healthy denial that allows us to leave our homes and even make long term plans even though we don't know when we are going to die. I mean who would leave their house if they were always aware of there mortality?
So some just can't cope with the knowledge that they might die any time and not being party to 'how' so they decide to take matters into their own hands.
I think counselling can help people with this kind of flaw, you know just to help them find something to live for.
