The Foe : A poetry piece

THE FOE (DEVIL)

Why kill the lizard?

Knocking off its mazard

You wicked old wizard

And making a barbecue of its gizzard.

Why stop them from smiling?

Except a quotidian mourning

You enemy of good tiding

Yet smile at their suffering.

Why destroy people's nizz?

Extirpating them as fizz

Bringing on them tizz

And yet attacking them with razz.

Why take away their voices?

Happily saddening the masses

Though you know it displeases

Yet their hope you demoralize.
