The Missed Call

Sorry I missed your call. Woke up later today.. got up and turned the on light. 

I tried to call you back.

He said, “It's alright mom.

network not so good

here.”

Ok dear, thank you for the pictures. He had sent me a picture of him in the boat and of the view on the water. He’s good to take me on virtual tours when we video chat. He also sends me pictures to let me know where he is and what it looks like. I love it. 

“Couldn’t sleep today.

Thought of pausing.

So I am back to the waters.” he said. 

The next thing I knew I had this picture of a beautiful roses that he sent to me. “I got this one for you.” 

OK my dear. Thank you so much for the pictures.  I will be praying you will be rested and refreshed.

I love you. 

He said “I love you too mom.”

Never underestimate a small act of kindness. 

It was just two days before Valentine’s Day. He didn’t know how much that picture he took for me of the roses would mean to me. 

Jesus is so good to me, he made sure I had flowers for Valentine’s Day.

Thank you Jesus you care about the little things. Things like feeling loved by small gestures. 

Thank you son for taking a few minutes to get those flowers for me.
