If life came with a manual, maybe I wouldn’t have made some of these mistakes. But maybe I needed to learn them the hard way. Here are 10 bitter-sweet lessons life taught me before I even clocked 20.
If you're younger, read and learn. If you’re older, you might just relate…
📌1. Not everyone who smiles at you wants the best for you.
Some people will clap for you in public and curse you in private. Protect your peace, protect your space.
📌2. Love without sense will ruin you.
I gave my heart to someone who didn’t even give half. Love isn’t enough. Use your head too.
📌3. Money isn’t everything, but lack of it will humble you.
I’ve seen ₦200 look like ₦2 million. Poverty will teach you things school never will. Hustle — legally.
📌4. Friendships fade, and that’s okay.
We used to talk every day, now we barely say hi. Life happens. Let them go.
📌5. Your parents are not your enemy they’re just scared for you.
That shouting? That harsh advice? It’s fear, not hatred. I understand now.
📌6. Life no balance. Hustle regardless.
Hard work doesn’t always pay immediately, but laziness guarantees nothing. Just keep going.
📌7. Keep your wins lowkey until they mature.
Not everyone is happy for you. Let success speak before you do.
📌8. Mental peace > People’s opinion.
Please yourself, not everyone. Don’t lose your mind trying to impress the world.
📌9. Forgive, but don’t forget the lesson.
I’ve forgiven many, but I won’t forget what it taught me. Wisdom is memory.
📌10. God’s timing is better than your pressure.
You’re not late. You’re not cursed. You're just in your becoming phase. Keep the faith.
This is all I have for you for now , take few of my advice and it will help you in life . Nobody tell me when I was in my 20s, Stay safe and stay tuned for more post . Thank you
