Beulah is just 7 years old. She is now used to waking up everyday at 5am, even when the alarm fails to wake her up, she wakes up the alarm. After family devotion, she begins to prepare for school by going through daily routines. Her nanny supervising her while she brushes her teeth, have a bath, dress up, have breakfast and set off for school.
She gets to school latest at 7:30am and begins academic activities. This happens from morning till 4pm with a 30 minutes break somewhere in-between.
Arguably, Beulah stays in school for 8 - 9 hours daily learning one subject after another. At the time school closes, her bag is fully packed with assignment from almost all the subjects she had done that day. Remember, Beulah is just 7 years old.
She gets home around 5:30pm, squeeze out free minutes to eat something and then begins to attend to her assignments that doesn't finish till 8pm most times. She goes to bed after taking dinner, wakes up the next day to begin the same cycle.
Beulah is already going through a lot at 7.
I think she shouldn't be bombarded with that much work especially at her age.I am of the opinion that homeworks should be reserved for the weekends only. Teachers should let our kids breathe.
