In the ancient Yoruba kingdom of Ile-Oro, peace begins to fade when Prince Adetunji mysteriously awakens in the forest with a glowing blue mark on his arm the Mark of Òsun, the river goddess. The mark links him to Aramide, a beautiful but cursed river spirit who once saved his life. Though she is bound by divine punishment, their fates are now entwined by love and destiny. When King Adeyemi, Adetunji’s father, and Queen Morenike see the mark, they fear divine wrath. The royal priest, Ifagbemi, warns that the prince must never return to the river, or the guardian beast, Eru Oba, will rise and curse the land. Despite this warning, Adetunji’s heart aches for Aramide, whose voice continues to call him through dreams and whispers. Guided by his loyal friend Babatunde, Adetunji struggles between obedience and love. He promises his father to stay away, yet he cannot deny the bond he feels with Aramide a bond the gods themselves seem to fear. As the river grows wild and the kingdom’s crops fail, the people begin to whisper that the gods are angry. Determined to save both Aramide and his people, Adetunji defies his father’s order and journeys once more into the forbidden forest. There, Aramide reveals the truth: the only way to lift the curse is to find the Heart of Òsun, a golden stone guarded by spirits of the past. With Babatunde by his side, Adetunji faces darkness, divine trials, and the monstrous roar of Eru Oba. In the final test, Adetunji stands before the goddess Òsun herself. She offers him a choice — to save Aramide, he must sacrifice either his throne or his soul. With courage and love stronger than fear, Adetunji gives up his soul to free Aramide. Light engulfs the valley, and when it fades, he is gone leaving behind only peace, flowing water, and the legend of a prince who loved beyond life.
