 1.  Identify your negative thoughts: The first and easier step to building your confidence is by identify the negative thoughts in your mind. Thoughts like "I will never make it there alive", "I will fail if I try", " I am never lucky", etc. When you dwell on negative thoughts, you will certainly lose your peace of mind. Now, loosing your peace of mind may affect your mental health and eventually kill you slowly.

 2. Rebuke your inner voice when it centres on negativity: After you are able to identify your negative thoughts, you have to rebuke them. This can be done by clouding your mind with positive affirmations such as "I will be successful", "I'm the most luckiest person on earth", "I won't give up till I achieve my dreams", etc.

 3. Maintain positive relationships: When you encounter people who give you positive vibes, try to keep them. It is not so easy to have positive response from people around you, so when you meet a few persons that respond to you positively you need to value their presence. Having friends that make you feel good about yourself will definitely boost your confidence.

 4. Avoid negative relationships: Avoid people who only make you feel less of yourself. Their main target in your life is lowering your confidence. Take actions today! Try as much as possible to avoid people who say you cannot make it.

 5. Embrace your talents: Everyone has at least one talent, either an hidden one, i.e when it has not been discovered or an obvious one which has already been revealed. You have to showcase your talent to the world because it makes you believe in yourself.

 6. Value yourself: Do not devalue yourself because you feel you cannot make it. Always place value on yours at every given opportunity and in every step of the way. When you begin to place value on yourself, you discover that there will be an improvement in your confidence.

 7. Stop comparing yourself with others: Learn to stop comparing your achievement with another person's achievement. When the other person succeeds where you fail resist the urge to condemn yourself. Comparison is an unavoidable "thing" in life but you realise that when you stop comparing yourself with others you begin to see your own achievements.

 8. Pursue your goals in life: Be a goal getter. Aim for something huge, work towards it relentlessly and see how your confidence level will rank the highest. Therefore, your zeal to achieve success in life is one of the determinants of your confidence rate.
