Child training is the act of directing a child in a positive ways of behavior. It involves discipline, correction and care, which can be given by parents or guardians. It is often said train up a child in the way he should go, when he is old he will not depart from it.
The home is the first school of a child. The parents are the first teachers. For a child to get proper upbringing, both parents need to corporate in training the child. The child has to be disciplined. Some mothers are weak when it comes to discipline the child. This weakness is a result of the close relationship between the mother and the child. The child may go astray if he/ she is not well disciplined.
Some children are naturally closer to their fathers than to their mothers, especially girls. They tend to listen to their fathers more than to their mothers. This is actually an opportunity for father's to teach their children what their mothers cannot.
A child is a member of a society whose future depends on his/ her decisions in life. Such decisions are produced by the type of training the child has received. For a better society with better citizens, both parents should commit their time and energy to the training of their children. Without mincing words, let me say that child training is also the responsibility of the father.
