FEATURES OF DEMOCRACY

(1) there should be periodic election in a state through which the citizen elect their leaders in a peaceful way

(2) one of the major characteristic of democracy is that there must be a written or unwritten Constitution to guide the action of the government and governed (3) certain fundamental human rights must be enjoyed by the citizens that will enable them live a civilized life

(4) there should be free and fair elections devoid of rigging by the country

(5) electoral commission should be equally be established which should be independent of the legislature and the executive
