If you don’t succeed academically 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥.
Success is a success.
It doesn’t matter where it occurred.
In fact,
The essence of education is to equip you with the ability to achieve success in life.
Not, to pile up degrees.
The etiological meaning of education is “ 𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘳 𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘰 - means to 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘵.”
Everyone can not be a 𝓹𝓻𝓸𝓯𝓮𝓼𝓼𝓸𝓻.
Everyone can not be a 𝓁𝒶𝓌𝓎ℯ𝓇
Everyone can not be a doctor
Everyone can not be an ℯ𝓃ℊ𝒾𝓃ℯℯ𝓇
But,
Believe me.
𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴.
Don’t allow your inability to perform well academically to destroy your ability to succeed well in real life.
Our school system is designed to glorify only those who were genetically favoured by natural selection.
𝘐𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘮𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘦𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘶𝘳𝘦.
This has crippled so many young people in the world.
Most especially in my continent Africa.
Each child I come across is very creative, but school smashes that creativity in exchange for a grade.
𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘺?
Prof sir ken Robinson in his famous Tedtalk which is the most watched Tedxtalk video in world spoke about how school kills creativity in children.
“𝘌𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦, 𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘪𝘵𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧.”__ John Dewey.
Let me make this clear to you guys...
The only educated person is the one who use his/her THINKING and SKILL ability to get what he/she wants out of life.
The rest is glorifying nonsense.
So if you have I million degree and you are not able to get what you want out of life, then you are the most uneducated person in the world.
Whether you are a professor or not, it doesn’t matter.
𝓑𝔂 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝔀𝓪𝔂.
What is the essence of academic degrees if one cannot produce what will benefit his/herself and mankind?
My sons/daughters if for any reason the school system rejects you or belittle you because you couldn’t do well in testing and grading.
Go to the real world and prove them wrong.
At the end of the day, nobody will remember your position in school, they will only remember your contributions to mankind.
𝒦ℯℯ𝓅 𝓉𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝒾𝓃 𝓂𝒾𝓃𝒹.
Go for self-education, study great books, learn great skills and apply what you have learned, fail and start again, repeat it for years and you will become deadly outstanding in you’re doing.
“𝘚𝘦𝘭𝘧-𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘴, 𝘐 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘮𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴.” __Isaac Asimov.
Remember, school is not there to educate you, rather school is there to provide you with directions on how to get yourself educated.
The most educated people that I know are the ones who taught themselves before and after schooling.
So,
No matter the difficulty of academics don’t ever quit on your visions and dreams, that is what brought you into this world not grade.
You are only permitted to quit when you have taken your last breath, but as long as you are breathing, you must continue to push.
In Ancient Greek, they say:👇
✅>> 𝘗𝘦𝘳 𝘈𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢 𝘈𝘥 𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘭<<
✅>>Meaning “𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳.”<<
Adopt that mentality and you will overcome many obstacles and go far in life.
Here is what most folks don’t know about academic excellence.
𝘑𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵, 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘳𝘥 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩.
The same applies to reading and comprehension ability.
If you are born into a professor's family you will likely have a 99% chance of doing well academically.
𝒲𝒽𝒾𝓁ℯ....
If you are born into a family like mine where your mother and father never went to nursery school talk more of university, believe me, academic excellence will be hard for you to achieve to some extent.
Except you were massively chosen by gene to do well academically, if not you will always fall behind.
Read up on a research called the 𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘸 𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵.
The idea that those who have, more will be given to them.
The research is saying that those children who start off doing well in school will continue to do well till the graduation level, because the attention of the teachers will be on them.
Why the ones who are doing poor will be looked down upon.
When, in reality they are the ones who needs teachers attention the most.
You see how the system is designed?
𝓑𝓾𝓽, 𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓷!
Never allow that to stop you from pursuing a lifelong education and self-reliance.
>>>nobody remembers Thomas Edison as a failure in school, we remember him as an inventor.
>> nobody remembers Albert Einstein as a school failure, we remember him as the genius behind relativity.
>> nobody remembers, Bill Gate as a school dropout, we remember him as one of the richest man in the world.
There is a famous lengthy genetic test of genius by Lewis Terman from 1921 to 1999 which was a land mark in history of psychology and research intelligent.
The test was conducted among 1,500+ students.
There was two people who took the test and were rejected ( William Shockley and Luis Alvarez. )
Both respectively later went ahead to win Nobel prize in physics.
While... those who passed the test could measure up to those guys genius late in life.
The truth is,
Testing and grading can’t tell who will succeed or not.

For that reason creativity is needed more than grade in our world today.
Dear young one...

“I feel that education needs an overhaul - courses are obsolete and grades are on the way out.” __Kent McCord.
𝓝𝓸𝔀!
Don’t get me wrong, I do not say academic excellence is bad.
All I’m saying is that every c͟h͟i͟l͟d͟ i͟s͟ a͟ g͟e͟n͟i͟u͟s͟.
And, grade alone, can’t determine that.
School system is using pressure for grade to kill the creative genius in our children.
𝒯𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝒽𝒶𝓈 𝓉ℴ 𝓈𝓉ℴ𝓅.
If you think I’m wrong, then that is your problem.
Once again I say to all young people out there don’t allow academics to determine your destiny.
Though take your academics serious.
If you do well in terms of academics; great.
If didn’t do well; fine.
𝘕𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘦𝘥.
On that note, till I come your way again.
