The death of 62-year-old Mulanga County nun Jacinta Mutoni has left many questions for residents after her body was found 100 meters from her home. A Catholic nun, known for her passion for selling sugar cane, was allegedly attacked by gangsters and raped before inserting blunt instruments into parts of her body.

According to a Muranga County DCI report provided to the Daily Nation newspaper, the murdered woman, Jacinta, was attacked in her home and she was severely abused. Her evidence shows injuries to her neck, arms, legs, and pubic area. She was found on a corn farm with a blunt object between her legs. The victim's body showed injuries to the neck, arms, and legs, and the suspected gang rape was s€xually assaulted. An incident report cited by Nation Africa found blood between her legs as a result of the rape and insertion of an object.
Local residents are therefore calling for an urgent investigation to allow the arrest of the perpetrators.
