Horror As A Group Of Police Officers Get's Arrested For Selling Illegal Firearms

A major security scandal has rocked the country after four law enforcement officers were arrested for allegedly running an illegal arms and ammunition racket believed to be fueling rising crime and violence. The arrests, conducted by detectives from the Operations Support Unit (OSU) of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), exposed a syndicate operating from within official security structures. Those apprehended include Assistant Superintendent of Prisons Ekidor Lotira Charles from Turkana, Corporal Isaac Kipngetich of Turkana County Police Headquarters, Police Constable Ileli Cyrus Kisamwa, an armorer at the Central Firearms Stores in Industrial Area, and Constable Samson Muriithi Mutongu, a storeman at the same depot. Investigators allege that the officers had been diverting state-issued weapons to criminal networks, worsening banditry and insecurity in several regions. The suspects are in custody as investigations continue, with authorities vowing to restore integrity and accountability within Kenya’s security agencies.
