I have always believed in working hard in order to attain success, so this my ordeal is something I believed was destined by the Almighty God.
On a fateful day, one of my friends introduced to me a platform called hiveblockchainng, that it's an online investments web that pays some kinds of interests to investors per day, which the interests vary according to the amounts invested.
I was reluctant at first, since such investment was not my habit, but since I need money to pay my school fees, I agreed and invested 5,000 NGN. After some hours, I invested another 24,000 NGN, making it 29,000 NGN. Note, my friend didn't know about the 24,000 NGN.
When I reached the withdrawal threshold, I made my first withdrawal, and my bank account wasn't credited. I made the second withdrawal, the same thing occurred. That was when I started feeling duped. I was not even added to their WhatsApp group, so I hardly knew what was going on. I had to contact my said friend and he told me to be calmed that I would be credited. Then, I made my third withdrawal, but the same thing occurred - I wasn't credited.
The day after I placed my last withdrawal, the company made a sudden announcement, that due to the slow withdrawal process of WEMA bank, it's now partnering with another bank, and each investor should pay 5,000 NGN in order to get the proceeds of his/her investments, else his/her account would be closed. When I saw the message, I already knew my money was gone, but to be more sure, I contacted someone whom I knew was also an investor there. I asked him if we should be optimistic, and he told me to move on. 
Throughout my chats with him, I felt like I was dreaming or what he was telling me was a joke. I found it difficult to cry. My heart nearly stopped beating. Where would I find the money again? How would I tell my father that I was duped? That the money he gave me to keep was no longer with me? Different questions kept coming onto my mind.
I'm still hoping in God not to drop out of school, because I have not been able to gather anything after the incident. I have also not told my father about that, because I don't even know how to say it.
I will urge people to desist from these acclaimed investment websites. They're fraudulent and will ran away one day, leaving their victims in agony.
