Insomnia is mainly caused by related poor sleeping habits,depression,anxiety,lack of exercise and medication
It can be prevented by ;
Regular sleeping hours-this is achieved by making sure you sleep for about 6 to9 hours as advised by health specialist.This gives enough time for the body to relax body muscles and mind.
2.Having a restfull sleeping enviroment-this is achieved by having lights off,taking a warm bath,listening to hypnotic music and sound effect enhancing sleeping mood.
3.Avoid drinking caffeine added drinks-this are drinks like guarana,energy drinks and e.t.c.Also chewing gum is to be avoided.As this makes the mind stay active and this set the mind to stay awake.
4.Dont smoke.this is because cigarettes have nicotine which results to the mind staying active.
5.Relax before going to bed -try it by writting or reading a book.Also you can have exercises like yoga as it relaxes muscles.But to much of exercise may cause opposite effects.
6.Avoid smartphones,tablets computers or electronic gadgets.Do so before an hour or so before going to bed due to lights on this screens having negative affects.
