The economy has been hitting hard lately without any doubt and prices of food are not the way they used to be, but the truth remains that eating healthy is the best way to stay healthy because, health is wealth.

Eating healthy, may not necessarily mean that you need to have all the money in the world. One can have all the money in the world and not eat healthy meals.

Here, is how I was able to use ₦2,000 to make a pot of delicious and nutritious soup.

I thought of the cheapest soup to cook and guess what came to my mind? –Okro soup. I had in mind that I was going to add periwinkle to my soup so that, it could give it that unique taste.

I went to the market boldly and refused to be intimidated by the little cash I had at hand, because I knew that the ingredients I would get for my soup would be worth it.

These were the ingredients I got for my soup

1. Okro...₦500

2. Palm oil...₦300

3. Fish....₦600

4. Periwinkle..₦200

5. Crayfish....₦200

6. Pepper, salt and seasoning...₦200

Total ...₦2,000

One may wonder why I chose these ingredients for my soup. These were my findings after a thorough research 👇

–Okros are rich in Vitamins and they are a good source of Potassium and Magnesium

–Periwinkles are also rich in Vitamins and Minerals.

–Fish are proteinous, and a good source of Omega-3acid that supports the heart.

–Crayfishs are high in proteins and also rich in Omega-3acid.

–Palm oil is also rich in Vitamins

I had smiles all over my face as I got home and started cooking my pot of Okro soup. It was so delicious, not just delicious but also healthy and nourishing to my body.

Although cooking a soup with just ₦2,000, is not usually easy but it was a delight to know that I can make a nutritious soup with just ₦2,000.
