 There are a few notorious cases involving infamous serial killers who are still at large. It's pretty unsettling to think these individuals could still be out there, potentially engaging in unexpected activities. For instance, there's the case of Canada's schoolgirl killer, spotted volunteering at a school, and then there's Charles Sage, a suspected murderer allegedly planning films in France.

Also, there's this intriguing story of a high-ranking member of the Gambino crime family who turned informant. Despite being involved in 19 murders and testifying against John Gotti, this person started a YouTube channel and remains unidentified in the freeway Phantom and Doodler cases.

 

In addition, there are two shocking cases where notorious killers released from prison after committing horrendous crimes. One of them is David McGreevy, who committed a horrible crime resulting in the death of three children back in 1973. Louis van Squar, known as an apartheid killer, was sentenced to 20 years for multiple murders after being suspected of shooting over 100 people and killing 39 while working as a security guard. To sum it up, there's also the case of the military base shooter who was granted parole after multiple attempts and the chilling story of the sadistic husband and wife serial killers in the American West. Additionally, there's a concerning number of missing women due to systemic poverty and lack of transportation in remote areas like Highway 16, where hitchhiking is prevalent, exacerbating the problem.

Lastly, it's worth mentioning Pedro Alonzo Lopez, who disappeared after being released on bail in 1998. He was found guilty of 110 counts of murder and sentenced to 16 years in prison. Eyewitnesses have provided different ages for the Zodiac Killer, but many have suggested he could still be alive, possibly in his 30s. It's all quite unnerving when you think about it.
