Nietzsche

This is just me thinking. Philosophy. It’s quite interesting how, when you begin being interested in life, the first step is people (you are also in the mix) – what they do and how they act. One way or the other, you’ll get into psychology and if you keep up with the interest, you’ll definitely end up in philosophy as the bedrock of a good number of it. It’s interesting how most of the philosophical utterances in the early ages have proven to withstand the test of time, some also just took on life like the fulfillment of prophesies – the last man as one.
Fredrich Nietzsche – one whose most utterances are deemed dynamite, only take life after his death – I mean, he even knew his writings were meant for the future not his time. Makes you wonder who is this guy?? How smart are you to be to know that?? Well, being inspired by God isn’t an explanation that applies to Nietzsche considering the man proclaimed God dead, murdered by us!
For an Atheist, Nietzsche’s proclamation about God’s death is a win – this is how you know whoever uses this line as an atheist, doesn’t quite know what they are talking about. It wasn’t a celebratory proclamation for Nietzsche. You would think death of God would make him happy but it doesn’t…
“What I relate is the history of the next two centuries. I describe what is coming, what can no longer come differently: the advent of Nihilism…” who says, predicts such a thing?? Well, we’ve seen different forms of it as he said, so…
“ Alas, the time is coming when men will no longer give birth to a star. Alas, the time of the most despicable man is coming, he that is no longer able to despise himself. Behold I show you the last man. ‘what is love? What is creation? What is longing? What is a star?’ Thus speaks the last man and he blinks…. We have invented happiness, says the last man and they blink….”
If you can read Nietzsche and don’t get scared, well, you either don’t understand or just not reading Nietzsche.
The last man. Most of the last men that Nietzsche talks about have been visible in the modern 21st century. Crazy right?? Most of us just blink in the face of things. For some weird reason we have made happiness to be the highest value of life and seek it out actively. Most of us have lowered our standards of happiness so that it’s attainment becomes easy.
This is evident from some of our utterances like “kama siwezi buy gari, nitabuy mzinga bora zote zinatubeba” which is a very good lyric until you really get to think of it – there are several. The last man conforms, we do a lot of that. The last man will get bored and we don’t know the effects that has to him…. One would wonder what causes suicides? – I’ve always wondered, and I know am not alone. Coming to face with this worst form of existential nihilism with lack of a higher value would try to do it justice.
Again, this is just me thinking.
